Back in January, Scott and I headed to the ATL to pick two more ASW
single barrels for the group! While our last 3 picks with them were a
success, we wanted to take a deep dive into the warehouse to find some
unique offerings. Particularly bourbons.

What we came away with were two incredibly full-flavored bourbons that
epitomize everything that ASW does right.

The first bourbon selected was their Fiddler Georgia Heartwood Bourbon.

This bourbon is aged for about 6 years and bottled at 116.4 proof.
This has a mashbill of 51 corn / 45 wheat / 4 Malted Barley. This
bourbon is finished with hand-harvested, charred Georgia white oak
heartwood staves that are hand-charred and placed in the barrels for
the final few months of maturation.

• Nose: salted caramel, pecan pie, slight smoke and maple.
  
• Palate: Thick and rich with salted caramel, dark chocolate, pecan pie
  and vanilla bean
  
• Finish: More sweet molasses with a hint of campfire smoke and chocolate.
