- Tasting Notes: I'm always amazed how much fun fruit displays in these Blue Notes and while this barrel demonstrates less of that cola / root beer character from past releases, the raspberry, vanilla, cream and honey blend wonderfully here. It reminds me of barrel char, caramel, maple candies and those old hard candies that were smoothie or milkshake flavored. Creme Savers, I believe they were (what a terrible name). Raspberry fruit layers in with satisfying vanilla and cream, honey and a touch of pepper. The palate is rich, the proof is dangerous and absent, and the finish is full of sweet cream, vanilla bean, raspberry syrup, sweet oak, light ginger, a hunt of graham cracker and honey. Delicious, sippable, crushable.
