Copper & Cask MK-615 High-Rye Bourbon (36%) Single Barrel r/Bourbon Private Selection

Our two barrels from Copper & Cask are the first in a series I am calling "Barrels Across America" which seek to see how maturation environment actually impacts the whiskey.

In this case, we have MGP aged in Kentucky, and the famed 36% mash bill that seems to be catching fire lately. Copper & Cask is doing some really cool stuff, and we picked these barrels on site at Copper & Cask in Rhode Island.

These Kentucky aged 36% MGP releases are bold and syrupy, punchy and complex and set the stage for a wide series of barrels to come that examine how climate impacts whiskey.

Rich graham cracker crust on the palate, a prickle of proof combines with syrupy maple, opulent caramels and a punch of oak on the way out.
