- Tasting Notes: Caramel, honey, cherry, orange. I was tempted to just stop the notes there, but that's no tasting. This bourbon is big and bright, using the extra oak to balance mouthfeel and finish and display a richer, fruitier bourbon that is less driven by maple and caramelized sugars and more driven by luxardo cherry, bright orange peel, baking spice like clove, pepper, a hint of cinnamon. Long finish full of creme brulee, vanilla bean, creme brulee, rich cherry and honey once more. The oak shows through here and there, with a great texture on the palate thats complex and easy drinking.
