- T8ke's Tasting Notes: Spicy and peppy, this is what i've wanted from Old Ezra and this barrel was the star of the show. Huge rye spice, lovely brown sugar, just enough oak to be a structured and complex whiskey and give us that proof! Drinking really well at 57% ABV - lovely in manhattans, great neat, and enough backbone to work on a cube as the days warm up. Brown sugar, candied ginger, gorgeous floral and herbal spice, and a great, long lived finish.
