- Tasting Notes: Rich on the nose, cherry, apricot and fresh honey combine with baking spice, clove and a kiss of oak tannin. Jammy up front, the sweetness gives way to a richer profile with baking spice, tannin and a touch of cocoa bringing things to balance. The palate is rich with a surprisingly veiled ABV - 109 is a touch high for Starlight releases, but you'd never know it blind. Vanilla bean, light honey, clove and blackberry blend with sweet oak, satisfying red fruits like raspberry, blackberry, currant and a pop of fresh acidity. Faint tartness on the finish gives way to caramel, creme brulee and a light custard note for a long, satisfying finish.
