WhistlePig 10 Year Single Barrel Rye Private Selection 1

Introducing Stranger Pigs, the first of our two single barrel rye whiskey barrels selected at the WhistlePig Farm in Vermont last August.

This 10+ year old rye starts off reminiscent of dusty pours of yesteryear with oak, toffee, leather and cloves on the nose.

The palate continues with notes of candied orange and roasted pecans with some subtle heat saying hello before moving into a medium length finish.

This delicious rye is bottled at 110.3 proof and takes you on a wonderful journey. We tried a number of barrels during our pick and this was a clear standout. This special barrel only had a yield of only 112 bottles.
