Art of the Spirits Cask Strength “Devil Dog” Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in a Ruby Port cask. This limited-edition release is in collaboration with Freedom 13. The Schmitz’s are a Gold Star Family who want to pay tribute to their son Marine LCpl Jared Schmitz (KIA Abbey Gate Kabul, Afghanistan 8.26.21). What better way to honor him than by providing these camps for veterans and their immediate families to use year-round for one week at a time.

Jared was only 20 years old when he tragically lost his life. By bottling this spirit, this is his father’s way of also honoring him and would love to know that true patriots all over will be toasting his son and other warriors that also never came home each time they open this bottle.

  • Age: 7 years in a new 53-gallon American Oak barrel and finished 14 months in a Ruby port cask
  • Mash bill: 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley

Tasting Notes: This bourbon has vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts nose that compliments its elegant rich ruby shine. It has plum, caramel, toasted nuts, a touch of smoke, oaky cinnamon, vanilla and maple syrup on the palate that leads to a long, lingering finish filled with vanilla, sweet oak, and dark chocolate cherry.
