- T8ke's Tasting Notes: Beautifully balanced: honey, cocoa, pepper and oak meets orange peel, dole fruit syrup, toffee, pleasant oak and balancing spice. VDN works so well with so many whiskeys but with a 5.5yr base it's sweet, fruity, balanced and the oak and structure of the bourbon holds up really nicely with it. The palate is rich, full of fruits, honey, apple, baking spice like clove and pepper. The finish is long and easy, delicious and rich.
