- Tasting Notes: Healthy similarity to the armagnac Exclusive Cask while the cognac brings in a brighter pop of fruit to complement Driftless' rich creaminess. Sweet creme brulee sweetness on the nose pairs with caramel, luxardo cherry, pleasant tannin and oakiness, apples, figs and boysenberry. Warm pastry crust. Palate is viscous and rich, opulent with the Cognac cask adding extra stewed fruits, tobacco, honey, a touch of pepper and a long, warm finish filled with creme brulee and maple. I'm not a serial cigar lover, but I'd put aside many bottles in favor of this giant to pair with your favorite stick. See also: boulevardier.
