While all the barrels we tasted during this “unique mashbill” pick were great in their own right, this particular single barrel stood out far above the rest of the competition. When trying to name the pick, we were all over the place as a group, until Norm Latva said, “I don’t care what we call it, I’ll take a case!” And thus, a legend was born. This is a very unique, very special barrel and we’re very excited for you to try it!

PALATE: Clover honey, light and dark brown sugar, gooey caramel, toffee, late lingering barrel spice and sweet oak

EXPERIENCE: This is a very experience-driven pour. For 110 proof it hits the palate as you’d expect, and then the magic starts to happen. There’s a deep, syrupy richness to accompany the lighter sweetness of the profile that’s very unique. It’s imminently crushable, yet the finish lingers for minutes if you’re in more of the mood to sit and dissect a glass. Given that this is a mashbill totally unique to anything else Bardstown Bourbon Company releases, this is a special pour and worthy of the “I’ll Take A Case” pick name.
