  • T8ke's Tasting Notes: Rich nose, full of maple and cracked pepper, candied orange and ginger, a hint of rye spice and herbal punch. There is deep, stewed fruits, a touch of fig and some white grape as well, pairing pleasantly with spicy, decadent, rye here. The palate is rich, viscous and a bit more layered than the first: orange peel, toffee, butter cream and black pepper meets decadent fig, blackberry, white grape, a hint of honey and cinnamon. Finish is long, the armagnac grips wonderfully here bringing some fruit, rock candy, old old oak character and a wisp of pipe tobacco in with the punch, the power, and the spice.
