Tasting Notes:

On the nose, a dense, sweet oak leads the way, balancing older funky oak and heavier char with creamy maple, burnt caramel, custard, and French vanilla. As it opens up, blackberry syrup, cherry, and orange peel start to come through, with a spiced coffee cake and honey bun sweetness underneath.

On the palate, the mouthfeel is incredibly viscous and coating, opening with dark blackberry and cherry, concentrated oak, and vanilla. The mid-palate gets much bigger, with the sweet funky oak and char pushing forward alongside brighter cherry, orange, and a little effervescence that keeps it from getting too heavy. The finish is long and spicy, bringing back the burnt sugar, vanilla, dark fruit, and oak in waves, while the rye spice builds late and becomes one of the most persistent notes.
