Stats: Barrel #74, 134 Proof, and Aged 9 Yrs and 4 Months

Nose: This starts off with a good blend of an earthy, yet sweet nose.  It presents notes of dried fruits – blackberries, apples and plums, the nose finishes up with a golden raisin note.

 

Palate: The palate and nose are in sync.  What’s unique about the palate is that this is an oak forward experience.  Think of an oak note that you smell when you walk into a rick house.

 

Finish: The finish is similar to a high rye bourbon.  It has a bit of slight spice and mint to balance out the sweetness. While at 134 proof this sips closer to 120 proof, and is dangerously good as it sips much lower than its proof point.  This is a top tier rye selection, you will not be disappointed.
