• Hack & Mack’s Tasting Notes: Vanilla cream soda and vanilla ice cream lead the nose, with a light orange-peel brightness. The palate opens with fresh strawberry before moving into creamy vanilla, cola and caramel-drizzled cake. Rich and viscous, with a buttery texture that carries the sweetness across the palate. Oak spice builds toward the back, bringing balance to the dessert notes. The finish is long and creamy, with lingering caramel, sweet baking spice and a gentle warmth from the oak.

• The Story Behind the Pick: This barrel started with a little arm-twisting and a lot of Mississippi hospitality. The Mississippi Sippers had already marked it as something special, and during our visit to Crittenden, they let us taste it and ultimately select it together. After bringing the finalists into the air conditioning for a blind tasting with our pick team, the vote between this bourbon and the nine-year came down to 4–3. We couldn’t leave either behind. Mississippi Dreamin’ is our nod to the friendship that made this pick possible.
