  • Tasting Notes:  I am all in on rye being the perfect base for bitters finishes. The kick of rye spice, tannin and oak pair perfectly with demerara, maple and caramel, a dash of vanilla and a decadent coffee cake and brown butter character on the nose. It reminds me a lot of the Cinnabon nose of a warm cinnamon roll with the vanilla integrated pleasantly with baking spice, oak, honey, a bit of pepper and spice. The palate is rich and viscous, warm and decadent. A nice hug of baking spice, sweet cream, honey and rich vanilla, the bitters pops with maple, clove, a hint of ango and soft, natural vanilla. Long finish, full of rye spice, caramels, a hint of herbal rye and a dash of brown butter. Lovely, cool, stuff.
