Finish: This 9-barrel blend was aged 10.5 years in once used bourbon barrels and finished for 9 months in freshly dumped ruby red port wine barrels

Bouquet: Currant jam, wine, tacky dark caramel (like a Riesen, not light), dried dark red berries, raisins, balsamic figs. Wafts of cranberry citrus and cola.

Palate: Sweet red wine flows into syrupy caramel and creamy fruity suggestions of berries and cherries. This finish is supported by robust tannin and finishes long, beginning lightly generically fruity and ending with delicious juicy winey woody barrel notes.
