This barrel is a sweet tooth breakfast lover's dream! This smells and tastes like delicious food and bad decisions at 3:00am. 

The nose and palate both lead with big brown sugar and Belgium waffles followed by rich oak and soft spice. Knowing this is a finished whiskey, that feels apparent, but it's hardly heavy-handed. The brown sugar toast profile of the French Oak augments the flavor profile in a beautifully rich and balanced way. My notes were "magical finishing." This is like a magician showing you exactly how they do a card trick and you still being wowed by the trick after they've explained it. 

The French oak adds a welcomed warm spice profile to accompany the sweetness and keep things in check. There's a wonderful balance here that makes it an anytime-treat for the Waffle House lovers among us and incredibly suitable for anyone as a dessert pour (or a breakfast pour).
