- Tasting Notes: Big time. If I had that on a bumper sticker, I'd slap it on this barrel. It's a big time bourbon. Carmel, heavy caramelized sugar, fruits like cherry and blueberry, punchy creme brulee and gobs of tobacco and barrel char. A bit oaky on the palate, well developed wood character and the age is showing beautifully. Maple, oak, a hint of orange develops here and the finish takes over, full of honey, cocoa, maple and tobacco and luxardo. Whew!
