Joining the legendary line of single-barrel picks that we have previously done with NuLu, we’re proud to announce our first New Louisville pick with the brand that we’re calling “No Leftovers”.

Fresh doughnuts with a chocolate fudge glaze spark the first nosing notes. A closer examination reveals a sweet/savory combo, with thoughts of charcoal briquettes blazing in the next room.

The palate mimics the nose as glazed doughnuts settle in after a quick one-two punch of the proof softens up. A brown sugar glaze opens up to more savory notes of burnt-end brisket, with the slightest hint of chili powder poking through. On subsequent sips, thoughts of a smoked Old Fashioned come up as a cider note slides into the finish, followed by molasses, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. The oily mouthfeel leads into a medium- to long finish with a nice hug in the chest. 

We find this single-barrel is best enjoyed with a little time in the glass, allowing it to open up on the first few pours. As always, with it being almost 130 proof, adding drops of water to taste or enjoying it over a large ice cube is encouraged, but never mandatory, as it’s quite a beautiful neat sipper!

About the name: We picked this single-barrel with a group of Patreon supporters during a weekend-long get-together called “Whiskeygivings”, as it took place a couple of weekends before Thanksgiving 2025. Thank you to all who helped us pick such an amazing barrel!
