Notes: It’s an Elk-Mas Miracle! I’m excited to present the perfect holiday bottle! This almost 8 year single barrel Wheated Bourbon is going to brighten up your holiday season. We started with an amazing single barrel pick packed with flavor and just enough baking spice to keep you warm on these December nights. We then created an amazing Elk themed sticker depicting one of the funniest scenes in holiday movie history! Lastly I decided that just like Clark Griswold, you can never have enough lights. So each bottle comes with a battery operated strand of lights! Some might say “Think you might be overdoing it?”, to which we say Never!!! I can’t wait to see how you light up your bottle and celebrate with this release.

Tasting Notes: This is not a “one year membership in the Jelly of the Month Club”, this is a bottle dripping with holiday flavors from start to finish.  This wheated bourbon came in just under 8 years and at 121.3 proof. The nose is full of buttery toffee, roasted nuts, cinnamon and vanilla. As I dove in I got an initial dark chocolate note followed by more toffee and cream on the palate. It made me instantly think of a Skor candy bar. The palate also has subtle heat and oak sweetness that comes through. The finish has nice baking spice heat that lingers forever! This is one of the longer finishes I have experienced this year! Cheers to those lucky enough to grab this special release!
