  • Synthesis I Tasting Notes: A big punch of pepper and oak on the nose, with creamy sweetness, cake batter, nougat and brown sugar popping in to complement herbal rye spice, a hint of ginger, spearmint and vanilla bean. Rich on the palate, layered and viscous with caramelized sugar, creme brulee, white grape, honey, toffee, black pepper, butterscotch and peppy, spritely rye spice, lightly herbal, a hint of grassiness and a pop of opulent maple, brown butter, toffee and baking spice. Long spicy finish that's clean, spice driven first with a syrupy, dessert laden finish: batter, cola, brown butter and toffee. One moment it's a sweet, decadent bourbon, the next a punchy, loud rye.
  • Synthesis II Tasting Notes: Rich nose, full of maple and cracked pepper, candied orange and ginger, a hint of rye spice and herbal punch. There is deep, stewed fruits, a touch of fig and some white grape as well, pairing pleasantly with spicy, decadent, rye here. The palate is rich, viscous and a bit more layered than the first: orange peel, toffee, butter cream and black pepper meets decadent fig, blackberry, white grape, a hint of honey and cinnamon. Finish is long, the armagnac grips wonderfully here bringing some fruit, rock candy, old old oak character and a wisp of pipe tobacco in with the punch, the power, and the spice.
  • [NEW] Synthesis III T8ke's Tasting Notes: Powerful and decadent, the third is the word, bringing together the powerful rye spice and oaky character with deep, dark character and that signature Ratafia character. Nose is full of black pepper, sweet oak, maple, honey and sweet brioche. Palate is layered and opulent, full of stewed figs, apple bake, white grape, rich brioche, caramelized sugars and brulee. Less ginger and spice here, more lovely nougat and caramels. Long, long finish that pulls in strong oak, rich tobacco, lovely brioche and white grape decadence that carries and carries and carries. A fitting conclusion.
