THE REVERIES is proud to announce its final new release of 2026: DREAD.
Jay West, Principal Whiskeymaker at Middleburg Barrel Company in Middleburg, VA has released a gauntlet of lauded whiskeys since the first unveiling of The Reveries in 2025. DREAD captures the innovative edge that defines The Reveries and invites distribution partners to partake in blending. Produced in extremely limited quantities, DREAD will launch on no set schedule with no guarantee to launch each year.
Batch 1 of DREAD is produced from all Kentucky maturate, a blend of 10-17 year old whiskeys pulled from Jay's most selective stocks. DREAD assembles maniacally composed microblends with extended aging and marrying to highlight The Reveries blending program helmed by Jay.
Bottled at cask strength with no adjustment, coloring or filtration, this whiskey is dreadfully bold, deep and focuses on the darkest, richest oak profile shown in THE REVERIES so far.

The palate is layered, powerful and combines sweet cream, rich vanilla, bold toffee, caramelized sugars, pipe tobacco and rich, old, oak on the palate. Expressive, extended finish hanging deep caramels, dark intense fruits and rich oak along for ages.
